Judy George International, the creative team behind the line, has partnered with HFI Brands to launch Hotel Maison, one of the freshest, most saleable lines of home furnishings the industry has seen in years.
The formation of Judy George International was part luck…part destiny.
Ten years ago, Judy George and Kim Salmela crossed paths when Judy, CEO of Domain Home, entered Kim’s furniture booth at the Highpoint furniture show. Judy was mesmerized. She loved the genius behind Kim’s upholstery designs and was enchanted by Kim’s visionary grasp of lifestyle trendspotting. Kim, unaware of the relationship to come, was equally enamored with Judy’s tremendous success and her ability to tell design stories. A talent that made Domain one of the preeminent home furnishings stores in the country. Each walked away duly impressed.
Fortuitously, it was in an international airport when Kim and Judy’s paths crossed again last year. The timing was perfect as Judy was searching for a business partner who could help bring her creative vision to life. At the same time, Steve McKee was launching HFI Brands International, the company now responsible for all sourcing, manufacturing, sales, marketing, and distribution of the Hotel Maison line. Steve’s extensive background in home furnishings, from a wholesale, manufacturing and retail perspective, gives him invaluable industry connections and unique insight into this world. His extensive relationships with strategic global sourcing companies make it possible for us to launch our largest collection of home furnishings to date.
